Shiatsu Fundraiser for Community Gardens

Support a new Community Garden by receiving Shiatsu
Friday Night, February 28, 4 – 8p

We’re co-creating community gardens with 13 families of Housing and Hope apartments on the North side. Come learn more, rejuvenate your own health with a Shiatsu treatment, while contributing to the health of families with The Road Home.

On the last Fridays of each month healing practitioners donate their services, and your fee becomes a donation to people in need. This month two shiatsu practitioners will be offering sessions for your health and healing. Erika Anderson is trained as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and a shiatsu practitioner. You can read more about her and her practice here: https://www.metta-acupuncture.com/the-clinic/practitioner/. Also Tao Shiatsu treatments will be given by Annie Bachmann from Tao Sangha Healing Center.

10 minute treatment = $10
30 minute treatment = $25
(You can drop in unannounced and we’ll give to you on a first come, first served basis)

Bring your teens, tweens, children, family and friends!
Babies and children’s sessions are shorter and by donation.

Your Funds will provide:
Fold out Garden Beds (See Garden Circles)
One bed for the middle of the yard: 96” long x 38” wide x 24” tall
Two beds against the building: 96” long x 30” wide x 10” tall

    Soil
    Tall bed -2.6 cubic yards
    Two shorter beds 1 cubic yard each
    Total approx. 4.6 cubic yards.

    Other Garden supplies
    wheelbarrow
    tomato cages (square)
    fencing
    shovels
    garden spades
    garden gloves
    5-gallon buckets
    garden hose
    water cans
    $400-$500 is estimated to start this project
